Corporate housing in Paris: from request to the employee's arrival
A three-week assignment, a six-month mobility move, a relocation: a company that needs to house an employee in Paris mostly wants to know what happens, and when. Here is how it works at Belvie, from the first request to the handover of the keys, and the questions HR, mobility and procurement teams ask us most often.
Why this process
A hotel is expensive over time and nothing like a home. A standard lease requires a guarantor, a deposit and a notice period. Belvie sits between the two: furnished apartments that we manage ourselves, one contact, and a stay that lasts as long as the assignment, and no longer. To compare the options criterion by criterion, see hotel, standard lease or managed apartment.
The four steps
1. You describe your need
Number of employees, preferred area, assignment dates and duration. By phone, by email or through the form on the corporate housing page. We reply within 24 hours with concrete availability, with no obligation.
2. We send a selection, within 48 hours
Several apartments available on the requested dates, with photos, amenities and terms. We manage apartments from the 1st to the 15th arrondissement, from studios to duplexes, in most neighborhoods of Paris.
3. Contract and company invoice
Once you confirm, the terms are put in writing from the very first exchange and the apartment is billed to the company. The employee pays nothing upfront and files no expense claim.
4. On arrival day, the apartment is ready
Linen provided, cleaning included, keys handed over on site. Every apartment is under a Belvie lease, inspected, furnished and equipped, and support remains reachable throughout the stay.
Frequently asked questions
For how many people, and for how long?
One person for three weeks or a team for a year: the stay extends or ends with the assignment, with no long-term commitment imposed. We detail what each option involves in assignment extended or cut short: which flexible housing?
Whose apartments are they?
We are not a platform: these are apartments that we manage ourselves. Nine of them are shown on our page, one per arrondissement. Exact addresses are shared at booking, because these are occupied homes.
Who are the other occupants?
Professionals on assignment in Paris, never tourists. We describe this profile in professional tenants in Paris: who are they?
And the legal framework?
For an employee on assignment or job transfer, the mobility lease (bail mobilité) described by ANIL (in French) is one of the possible frameworks: 1 to 10 months, no security deposit. Housing made available and billed to the company is another. The right choice depends on the duration and on who signs: see renting to a company: company lease or employee lease?
For companies, Belvie provides furnished apartments that it manages itself, from the 1st to the 15th arrondissement: billed to the company, a single point of contact, linen and cleaning included, a stay that ends when the assignment does. You describe the need, and we propose a selection available within 48 hours — see our corporate housing page.
What we need to respond quickly
To propose a selection within 48 hours, a few details are enough:
- The number of employees to house, and whether or not they share an apartment;
- The planned arrival and departure dates, with the margin of uncertainty;
- The preferred area, for example close to the workplace or a train station;
- The department or billing address, so the invoice reaches the right place;
- A contact on the company side for practical questions.
This page is intended for HR, mobility and procurement teams, consulting and law firms, and any company that needs to house employees in Paris for an assignment, a mobility move or a relocation.
